Heritage Home Carpentry Maine Fishing Trip with Bunny Clark Charter's

There were about 16 of us and we had a GREAT time.  Ed was sick the whole cruise, only came out of bed ONCE the whole 9 hour trip (7am-4pm).  I (Chris) think I caught the most fish but had nothing to bring them home in and was sort of racing against time to beat the boss' (Carl) 18 lb cod he brought in about 20 mins after our first stop!!  He caught the largest fish of the trip, but Al caught the largest Haddock at about 7 3/4lbs!  Everyone had their fish filleted, but I wanted to do my own up so I brought back the ones I kept (Thanks for the bag & use of the cooler Chris!).  Ed caught NO fish but did feed them quite a bit of PUKE!!!!!  Guess he won't go drinking the night before next time he knows he's going fishing.

Gearing up and getting ready to leave port.

Talking and staying bundled up against the 45º blowing wind!

Boon Island. There is some shallower shelf under and out from this we passed over, some only 4' deep to the E.

Carl just taking it easy.

Carl reeling in his 18 lber.

Carl's 18 lb Cod - the largest fish caught that day!

Carl won the largest fish caught that day sticker.

Ed won his LOSER PRIZE T-shirt!

Fishing off port-side.

Waiting to hit the next spot on starboard and aft.

The wolf fish caused a stir.

The wolf fish Shawn Sr. caught actually BIT and HELD ON to the table with its own jaw!!!

"They" say wolf fish (this is an average or slightly smaller than average size) are GOOD eating with sweet lobster-like meat.

Look at those Canine's and Mollar's!!!

Returning to port.

Me and MY big catch cod!

The catch I brought home, I threw back about 6 the size of the two on my left.

I caught about 4 non-keepers that day, and threw back about 6, mostly haddock when the day was ending and I was just in a hurry to try and beat 18 lbs!! I also realized by then I had NO way to get them home. I didn't drive up and my small cooler I DID have wouldn't have held them whole anyway (guess I didn't plan on actually catching anything... or not having them filleted).
